Claude Lelouch’s Cult Classic Driving Film, Reimagined in 360 VR with the Ford Mustang

Claude Lelouch’s Cult Classic Driving Film, Reimagined in 360 VR with the Ford Mustang

It’s said that the Ford Mustang has starred in more movies than any other car. Now GTB – Ford’s creative agency – have created a real on-screen first for the legendary marque. To celebrate the iconic driving film C’etait un rendez-vous, GTB worked with Claude Lelouch to recreate his iconic original film, in 360 VR.

Lelouch said of the remake: ‘C’etait un rendez-vous was a first in 1976, nobody had ever filmed an urban drive like it. So I was thrilled by the prospect of recreating this high-octane short using the very latest technology: making it even more immersive.’

Says Chief Creative Julian Watt, “The original 1976 movie captured an audacious eight-minute drive through Paris in the early hours of the morning. It was thrilling and ground breaking. Our idea was to maintain that essential experience, but bring the cinematic thrill of VR and the driving experience of Ford Mustang.”

Perfectly recreating the main aspects of the route was a difficult challenge for GTB (not least because some of the roads no longer exist), but Re Rendez-vous manages to replicate the exhilaration found in the original and brings it roaring into the 21st century.

Re Rendez-vous is due for release in February, will initially air online and can be viewed in 360 on mobile devices or virtual reality using any VR headset.

The VR film will be distributed via YouTube and Facebook. Re-Rendezvous will also feature within editorial content through Teads’ network of premium publishers using its new 360 outstream format.

“We’ve built quality and scale together by working with an iconic brand and an iconic film, combined with interesting partners, distribution techniques and multiple formats. We hope more people will get to view this short film and get a feel of the Ford Mustang and view Lelouch’s classic in a way it’s never been seen before.” Ben Richards Chief Digital Officer GTB

The US$60, 000 Movie that Made US$248.6 Million from Cinemas

The US$60, 000 Movie That Made US$248.6 Million from Cinemas

Yes. It is only in the entertainment industry that your fantasy becomes a reality.
You make a movie with N60 million and you make N450 million within three months (The Wedding Party, Nollywood romantic comedy in 2016/2017).
You spent US$15 million to make a movie and within a year, you made US$377.9 million (Slumdog Millionaire, British drama in 2008/2009). But the most phenomenal of all is The Blair Witch Project, the 1999 American psychological horror film written, directed and edited by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez. They made the film with only US$60,000 and made UD$248.6 million!
Can you beat that?

From Obscurity To Celebrity

There are two kinds of celebrities.
The celebrity with notoriety and the celebrity with nobility.
Which one is a better legacy?

Single Nollywood Actresses No Longer Wear Underwear On Sets Says Uche Maduagwu

It's so shameful and disgusting... Why is it that most female celebrities, especially Nollywood actresses who are single have developed the habit of not wearing pants to movie locations? I can tell you of 4 different star actresses I had personally confirmed, and this is really giving me headaches because, aside the very fact that it is suspicious, its also disgusting.

That's why most of our directors are always losing concentration when they are directing on set, the worst is that these group of actresses are fond of spreading their legs wide unnecessarily just to seduce fellow actors and directors... Their aim and motives are what I am yet to understand, that's how I walked out of a shoot in Asaba when one actress was just misbehaving on set, someone said she just finished smoking marijuana, but that's not my own business, I am an actor and not her doctor, but what I frown at is when someone is opening her legs any how and misbehaving in the middle of a shoot, distracting both the directors, actors and crews, that's what I can't stand, if we want to shoot a movie, let's be professional and let's not turn movie locations into strip clubs. .

May God deliver us in this industry, some people are just here to play around, they are the very few giving nollywood a bad name.

W. Pittman and Kelly Daniela Norris bring to this story." Poster Art for NAKOM
Summary: Set in present day Ghana, Nakom follows Iddrisu, a talented medical student who is summoned home by his sister after their father's sudden death. Iddrisu reluctantly returns home to the village of Nakom, buries his father and temporarily assumes the head of the impoverished household and farm, inheriting not only the delicate task of planting a successful crop but also a debt left by the deceased patriarch that could destroy the family. Attempting to maintain part of his studies from the confines of a small hut, Iddrisu becomes increasingly frustrated with the incessant physical and emotional needs of those around him, the demanding toil of the land and lack of rain. A contentious relationship with his uncle Napolean, to whom the sizeable debt is owed, is further complicated by the unplanned pregnancy of Napolean's granddaughter who was sent to live with Iddrisu's family.

As the new patriarch grapples with tradition and familial duty, he is met with varying shades of contempt by both family and villagers who compare him with his father expecting a resemblance. Iddrisu's patience and wisdom are tempered by the strange paradox created by his faith in God and desire for control, the latter of which he cannot have so long as he stays in Nakom. As circumstances swell, Iddrisu suddenly begins to realize that no future for him exists in the place where he is needed the most, even despite an offer by the village Chieftain to remain in Nakom to become an elder and marry his daughter.

Nakom will open Friday March 3rd at New York's Cinema Village in Manhattan.

Starring Jacob Ayanaba as Iddrisu,
Justina Kulidu as Senior Mother, Grace Ayariga as Damata,
and Thomas Kulidu as Napolean.

The Three Routes from Ikoyi To Victoria Island in Lagos City

Nigerian actresses and models, Nunnsi Ojong and Celina Ideh on the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.

I read the recent report on Lagos city by the Guardian of UK, saying it was chaotic and that it could take two hours to drive from Ikoyi to Victoria Island! A big lie!

Lagos is Africa's largest megacity with a population of more than 22 million people and over 3000 people migrate to Lagos every day and yet the Lagos State government is the most efficient of the 36 states in Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa with more than 180 million people. Lagos is safer than Johannesburg of South Africa and safer than Cairo of Egypt.

To refute the misinformation published by the Guardian of UK that due to the chaotic traffic in Lagos city, it can take two hours to drive from Ikoyi to Victoria Island.
This is a lie, because it takes only 10 minutes or even less if you know how to navigate the megacity no matter the traffic congestion or gridlock during the busy rush hours.

There are three different routes to Victoria Island from Ikoyi. And they are the following:
1. Lekki - Ikoyi Link Bridge
2. Falomo Ikoyi - Victoria Island Br ridge and
3. Awolowo Road - Victoria Island Bridge.

From the Lekki - Ikoyi Link Bridge, you can get to Victoria Island by road in 10 minutes.
From the Falomo Ikoyi - Victoria Island Bridge which is the busiest, because it the shortest way to Victoria Island, it takes only 5-10 minutes if there is no traffic congestion or gridlock. But if it is congested or blocked, you have the alternative routes of the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge and the longer Awolowo Road to Victoria Island road through Onikan and to the Marina - Victoria Island Bridge from the Onikan Stadium.

How Kylie Jenner Got Her Sexy Lips at 17!

Kylie Jenner talks getting her lips filled at 17, again...

"She wasn't even an adult yet."

It’s not new news Kylie Jenner loves her lips, made her lips bigger, and makes a lot of money from talking about and photographing her lips. But we still love hearing about them, right?

So when the youngest Jenner’s latest magazine shoot and interview with Violet Grey (of which are few and far between) came out, we skipped straight to the part about her lips.

Revealing she always knew she wanted to get lip fillers (a goal which happened at age 17), Jenner talked about her own lips and make-up experience as being the inspiration behind starting Lip Kits.

“I was obsessed with lips in general, and with making my lips bigger before I got them injected.”
