Nigeria's number one hit station Cool 96.9 FM is the official FM radio station of the Nigerian Premiere of the groundbreaking CNN film "Girl Rising".

The FM radio station is the radio broadcast sponsor of the Nigerian premiere coming up on the United Nations' International Day of the Girl Child, Friday October 11 @ 10 am and also on Saturday October 12 @ 2 pm at the Silverbird Cinemas, Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos. Star guests include Nollywood divas, Kate Henshaw, Ibinabo Fiberesima, award winning rapper Sasha P, Miss LASU 2013, Daniella Okoye, Little Princess of the Universe 2012-2013 and Holly Gordon, the Executive Producer of "Girl Rising" and Executive Director of 10x10, producers of the film directed by Academy Award-Nominated Director Richard E. Robbins, featuring A-List Hollywood stars Cate Blanchett, Priyanka Chopra, Selena Gomez, Anne Hathaway, Salma Hayek, Alicia Keys, Chloë Moretz, Liam Neeson, Freida Pinto, Meryl Streep, and Kerry Washington.


The premiere is co-hosted and sponsored by Nigerians Report Online, United Nations Information Center, Zonta International Clubs in Nigeria, Kudirat Initiative for Democracy (KIND), Kiddies & Brands Company, Educare Trust, Deputy British High Commission in Nigeria and the Silverbird Group.
