2017 iREPRESENT International Documentary Film Festival in Full Swing

The 7th iREPRESENT International Documentary Film Festival is in full swing in Lagos, Africa's largest megacity. Top Nigerian and foreign filmmakers, film distributors, local and international guests and movie buffs have been watching different documentaries; participating in workshops; producers roundtables and also enjoying live musical shows at the Freedom Park on Lagos Island. Today, Bayo Awala, Miguel Ewerem, Pascal  Ott, Osezua Stephen-Imobhioua, Theo Lawson and Segun Adefila and others were there. Femi Odugbemi, the Cofounder and Festival Director and Jahman Anikulapo, Cofounder and Director were coordinating the event with the staff and volunteers.


I watched Ronke Macaulay's "Green Passport in a Rainbow Nation" on successful Nigerians in post- apartheid South Africa; Dan McCain's "No Where To Run: Nigeria's Climate and Environmental Crisis"; Carl  A. Fechner's " Power To Change: The Energy Rebellion " and Adesoji Adeyemi-Adejolu's "The Valuable Waste" on the challenges of waste management across the coastal borders of West African cities of Lagos, Cape Coast and Lome.
The festival continues till the closing date on Sunday, March 19.
