$30M Raised from Art Auction at the 4th Annual Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Gala


More than US$30 million was raised at the 4th annual Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Gala at the Domaine Bertaud-Belieu in the romantic coastal town of St. Tropez on the French Riviera, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France.


Madonna gave a surprise performance with Lenny Kravitz. Sean Penn and DiCaprio's costars in James Cameron's Titanic, Kate Winslet and Billy Zane were there. Other VIP guests included Adrien Brody, Tobey Maguire, Heidi Klum with her 14 years younger boyfriend Vito Schnabel and Gerard Butler.


The gala was chaired by Prince Albert II of Monaco, Cate Blanchett, Marion Cotillard, Penélope Cruz, Tom Hanks, Kate Hudson, Edward Norton, Emma Stone and Uma Thurman.

Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris received the New World Leadership Award for her commitment to bringing about sustainable policies and innovative climate resiliency programs in Paris.
